🏗️ More Housing Coming to Chico, California 🏗️
As we continue to celebrate Affordable Housing Month, CCH is grateful to announce we have received Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Funds for Humboldt Road Senior Housing, an 80-unit new community coming to Chico, California. CDBG-DR funding helps communities recover from major disasters. This award helps address the unmet housing needs and long-lasting effects of the devastating 2018 Camp Fire.
In collaboration with the Housing Authority of the County of Butte (HACB), this new community will benefit from 25 project-based vouchers (PBVs). We are thankful for the support of the California Department of Housing and Community Development and Butte County Administration for their steadfast support. Humboldt Road Senior Housing will provide a supportive environment that promotes dignity, independence, and community. The thoughtfully designed development includes twenty fourplex homes across nearly five acres, bringing new life to land that is currently vacant and underutilized.
Older adults are now the fastest-growing demographic experiencing homelessness. We continue our commitment to addressing the growing need for senior housing and ensuring that every individual has access to a place they can proudly call home.
