🏗️Great news from CCH! 🏗️
We are excited to share a major milestone in our mission to provide affordable housing for seniors. CCH has successfully secured Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Grant Funds for Humboldt Road Senior Housing, an 80-unit new community coming to Chico, California. CDBG-DR funding helps communities recover from major disasters. This award provides funding to help address the unmet housing needs and long-lasting effects of the devastating Camp Fire in 2018.
In addition to the impactful award of CDBG DR funding, the Humboldt Road Senior Housing community is grateful to have 25 project-based vouchers (PBVs) from the Housing Authority of the County of Butte (HACB)). With these pieces together, the project is ready to break ground! We are thankful for the support of the California Department of Housing and Community Development and Butte County Administration for allocating these funds. Humboldt Road Senior Housing will offer residents more than just housing; it will provide a supportive environment that fosters dignity, independence, and community. Its unique design of 20-4 plex homes over 4.76 acres brings life to currently vacant and unutilized land.
