CCH Annual Gala 2020 Cancelled

This year’s CCH Annual Fundraising Gala 2020 has been cancelled out of concern for community safety as a result of the evolving nature of COVID-19. This is the first time our fundraising event, generally held in September, has been postponed since its inception in 2011 for CCH’s 50th anniversary.

“We are saddened to postpone this event which has been a festive occasion for all of us to gather together in support of affordable housing,” shares CCH Presidents and CEO Syd Najeeb. “We look forward to resuming the tradition again next year as we celebrate our 60th year of service.”

COVID-19 has hit everyone hard, especially the most vulnerable among us. Many of our seniors find themselves isolated from family and friends as they shelter in place. While the 2020 Gala has been cancelled, our commitment to provide a safe and caring quality community for our residents remains intact.

CCH invites our friends and supporters to join us in support of our seniors, many of whom are hurting as a result of COVID-19. In lieu of contributing to our annual gala, consider giving to CCH’s Resident Care Fund (RCF). This fund is the most direct way to assist low-income seniors during a difficult time. The RCF provides emergency funding for seniors needing a one-time helping hand as a result of unexpected circumstances, such as the needs arising from COVID-19. By pooling our resources together, we can make a difference. Any dollar amount, no matter how large or small, will go a long way in providing supportive services for seniors. Click this link to learn more about how your generosity can assist in our mission of providing more than a home to low-income seniors.

“We look forward to gathering again at a future date,” Syd says. “In the meantime, we hope you and your families remain safe. We humbly thank you for your kindness, caring and consideration of support during these unprecedented times.”
