CCH is pleased to be approved for a $15,000 grant from Wells Fargo to support the pre-development funds for new senior housing in Alameda County. The grant will help provide the necessary funding to explore the feasibility of building low-income housing on a church property in Hayward. If the project moves forward, this would be the first CCH property in Hayward and among 15 CCH properties in that county.
“This is fantastic news,” shares CCH President and CEO Don Stump, who says CCH became aware of Wells Fargo’s program to provide pre-development funding for more housing in Alameda County. The timing is excellent since CCH had been in talks with the local church about potentially developing low-income housing on its property.
“This grant will help pay for necessary and prudent pre-development feasibility studies to determine if this project is viable,” Don says. “Both CCH and the local Hayward church, which also has a mission to provide affordable housing, are grateful to Wells Fargo for its support in helping provide the means to pay for this.”
Denise Miles, Corporate Philanthropy and Community Relations, at Wells Fargo adds, “We are proud to support your organization as we work together to build stronger communities.”
