Every year East Bay Housing Organization (EBHO) organizes and hosts its annual Affordable Housing Week in May. They have been a strong force in increasing awareness of the need for affordable housing and empowering its membership to advocate for equitable housing policies and opportunities.
CCH is proud to be an active supporter of their mission. This year we will be coordinating an event at Harrison Street Housing in Oakland where we highlight our resident art program and digital literacy training. The event will be held on Tuesday, May 15 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
With the help of the San Francisco Foundation, CCH is utilizing a grant to expand its senior art program whereby residents and their family members can connect and create together. By engaging friends and family, we help augment the sense of community. CCH is collaborating with Tech Exchange, a nonprofit providing digital equity through support and training, to launch a digital literacy program at Harrison Street Senior Housing. Our aim is to convey that affordable housing can offer value-added service to meaningfully enrich the lives of residents.
