Dear Friends,
As the year draws to a close, I look back and marvel at the journey our organization has taken, our milestones and accomplishments, our staff and our supporters. I remain deeply grateful for the blessings that have enabled CCH to continue its mission of providing affordable quality housing in caring communities.
This year CCH earned a highly-regarded credential as an Accredited Management Organization by the Institute of Real Estate Management. We have celebrated the completion of major renovations at two communities while putting the finishing touches on a brand new community in Colorado. Our Board Chair was named 2016 Trustee of the Year by LeadingAge California and the San Francisco Foundation provided a grant to help us start a wonderful pilot program to enrich the lives of our residents.
We continue to raise awareness of the need for more affordable housing amongst local and state legislators. As a result, recent measures have been passed providing CCH with a few more resources to meet the need of a growing population of seniors looking for More Than a Home.
Ultimately, this journey begins with folks who are willing to support an idea that everyone deserves a place to call home where seniors can age with dignity in the communities that many of them helped to build. Our mission continues through the hard work of our employees and through the good graces and support of our partners and donors like you. It’s because of you many will celebrate these holidays in a place they call their own.
I extend a heart-felt thank you from me, our employees and our honored residents. May 2017 bring you joy, laughter and beauty. Together, we will continue the good work and touch the lives of more seniors. See you next year!
CCH is among the many organizations participating in Giving Tuesday and I invite you to visit our website at www.cchnc.org.
Sincerely,
Don Stump
