Dear Friends,
As of now, CCH begins its 57th year of service to seniors of limited income. What an amazing path we have been on over nearly six decades – 57 years in business, and managing 59 properties. At this moment, we can be excited about what has already happened, and what is expected for 2018. In 2017, we had a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony for Hatler May Village in Colorado. In addition, we are 50% complete on a multi-million dollar renovation in Houston, Texas. As the year drew to a close, we ended on a high note as we celebrated a milestone with one of our communities in Redding, California. You will find the details in our article below but suffice it to say we successfully leveraged a complicated tax credit program to ensure the longevity of this affordable housing community.
While a great deal of hard work is occurring at developing properties, we have also been reviewing a host of internal practices to allow us to be more efficient and accurate as we respond to the daily needs of the 5,000 seniors living at our communities.
And what is coming up in 2018? We continue to work with several nonprofit partners to build more housing and continue the renovation of existing buildings. In the next 12 months we plan to break ground on at least four renovations, acquisitions, or construction projects.
The mission and the hard work continues every day. While the financial and business tools change constantly, the values, vision and mission of CCH has remained constant. We are grateful and honored to be in partnership with approximately 250 volunteer board members, 250 employees and a very long list of cities, states, banks and investors. Full steam ahead!
