Charles Blackwell, a resident at CCH’s Westlake Christian Terrace in Oakland, CA, has been legally blind since the age of 20 when he slipped off steep terrain in Santa Cruz, CA and suffered a major concussion that left him partially blind. When the tragedy struck, Charles had been pursuing a promising career as an art major in college. He thought his dream to become a professional artist was over but by sheer determination, perseverance and God-given talent, his dreams have been realized.
